This is a lot of unused document storage cases made by Metal Edge Container Corporation, part number DOC-628-8. The document stage cases hold 12" letter size file folders, paperwork, catalogs, etc. Featuring a flip-top for easy access, the top is secured closed with Velcro. Constructed from solid virgin kraft material for maximum strength, these files will last many years even under heavy usage. The coating is several layers of acrylic ink, which results in a strong wear-resistant PH neutral finish.
Most of the document storage cases available on eBay are made from thin recycled cardboard glued at the seams, or flimsy plastic. Recycled cardboard is 40% less strong then virgin fibers and usually cracks when bending. Recycled board results in a lower purchase price, but they will not hold up to heavy use and are bound to break rather quickly. Our files are .080 thick virgin craft held together with metal edging based on and surpassing stringent military specifications.
